Google Arts & Culture
In collaboration with our partner, Google Arts & Culture, the museum is now on the online platform. The page was launched by Professor Tommy Koh, Ambassador-at-Large, during the fifth anniversary event of the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum on 5 September 2020.
In the inaugural exhibition, ‘ASEANA obscura’, you can view 20 stories about the ASEAN biodiversity: the Acrobats, the Enigmas, the Otherworldly, the Comic and more! They feature a total of 135 species found across Southeast Asia, selected and portrayed by specialists from ASEAN countries.
We thank our ASEAN-wide network of collaborating scientists for bringing together information and media on these diverse species in the hope that what is better known and better understood may be better protected.
