Documenting Nature

This three-hour museum workshop involves learning about the various methods of documenting nature in Singapore, with a hands-on session using museum specimens.

 

This workshop will includes a guided gallery tour focused on Singapore’s biodiversity, pioneer naturalists in Singapore, as well as the vast array of techniques used by naturalists to document nature. During the hands-on portion, participants will have a chance to try out some of these techniques used by naturalists to document nature. These include activities such as drawing in a nature journal, making a scientific drawing, and creating a ‘gyotaku’ print which can be brought home.
