‘Small Island, Big Data’ Teaser

POSTED ON BY Raphael Moey

Ever wondered what Singapore was like in the 1850s-1900s? Here is a sneak peek into our latest Heritage Gallery video , ‘Small Island, Big Data’, which traces the footsteps of British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace, who arrived in sunny Singapore 169 years ago. It also touches on the future of natural history, with the practice of digitisation (in light of our Museum initiative, SIGNIFY: A Digital Archive of Singapore’s Historical Biodiversity).

Produced by our Visual Communications Officer, Ms Choo Yen Ee, visit our Heritage Gallery to find out more about the early history and biodiversity of Singapore!

Note: This video was launched during our 8th Anniversary celebration on 18 April 2023.
