LKCNHM Aspiring Naturalist Programme 2023

POSTED ON BY Sherlyn Sim

Our annual “Aspiring Naturalist Programme” is back with two new themed workshops this year: Natural History & Coral Ecology Workshop and Natural History & Herpetology Workshop! Participants can look forward to themed guided Museum tours, hands-on activities and outdoor guided walks

Natural History & Herpetology Workshop

Participants can learn more about herpetology and conservation through a guided Museum tour, hands-on activities or sharing session, and an outdoor guided night walk at Pasir Ris Mangrove. For the outdoor night walk, participants must be confident moving around in the dark and bring their own torches/headlamps. Through these activities, participants will be introduced to common herpetofauna found in Singapore, herpetology conservation and naturalists involved in herpetology research.

There will be two runs of this workshop, one for participants of ages 17 years and above, and another for participants between 1016 years of age.
