Ticketing

You may purchase your admission ticket(s) via one of the following:

  • Museum’s ticketing counter
  • Online booking via the SISTIC website
  • SISTIC hotline

Visitors are encouraged to purchase their tickets online through SISTIC in order to secure their tickets in advance and minimise waiting time at the ticketing counter.

You have the option to pay via credit/debit card or NETS at our ticketing counter. Kindly note that cash is not accepted. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

There is no price difference between purchasing the tickets at the ticketing counter or on SISTIC. The same SISTIC booking fee ($1) still applies for both methods.

Admission ticket(s) are available for purchase up to one month in advance before the intended day of visit. 

There is no need to collect your admission ticket(s) from SISTIC counters if the ticket delivery method chosen was ‘e-Ticket’. It is also not necessary to print out your e-Ticket(s).

Visitors who would like to have the physical copy of their admission ticket(s) should purchase them at the ticketing counter or from SISTIC’s authorised agents.

An e-Ticket is an electronic form of ticket that can be used for admission at the Museum. It can be purchased via the SISTIC website.

Under the ‘Shopping Cart’ on SISTIC, visitors can opt for ‘e-Ticket’ as the ticket delivery method. Upon purchasing online, you will receive an email confirmation with your e-Ticket(s). The e-Ticket is a *PDF document which can be downloaded from the link that is found on the top right-hand corner of the email confirmation.

For group purchases, kindly note that there may be multiple pages containing one e-Ticket per page. Each e-Ticket can only be used by one person as it contains a unique barcode.

Download your e-Ticket(s) and save them onto a mobile device. On the day of the visit, simply show your e-Ticket(s) with the barcode(s) on your mobile device for admission into our Museum.

*Please be informed that you will need to have an Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file containing the e-Ticket(s).

A valid identity card has to be presented for each admission ticket at the point of purchase and/or entry.

Please note that random checks on tickets will be conducted at the point of purchase and/or entry. Visitors unable to present a valid identity card or proof of eligibility are required to purchase another admission ticket.

No, lost ticket(s) will not be replaced.

Opening Hours & Visit Sessions

The Museum opens on Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Our last admission to the gallery is at 4:30 PM. It will typically require about 1.5 hours to tour the gallery.

However, do check our website or social media platforms for any non-operating days/hours before purchasing your admission ticket(s).

There are three visit sessions per day for capacity control purposes. This is to help ensure that every visitor will have a pleasant and comfortable experience at the Museum, with lesser crowds.

There is no time restriction upon entering the gallery, but do note that the Museum will close at 6 PM. Please refer to our website or social media platforms for any non-operating days/hours.

Admission ticket(s) only guarantee a free-and-easy (non-guided) visit into the gallery. 

Complimentary guided tours are provided on weekends only

However, do note that the complimentary guided tours are conducted by our volunteer guides and are subject to their availability. 

Large group visits (13 pax or more)

A discount applies for the bulk purchase of 13 tickets and above. Kindly write in to nhmvisit@nus.edu.sg for more information.

There is a drop-off point in front of the Museum entrance and a carpark behind the Museum. However, do note that there is no coach-parking bay within the NUS school campus.

Large groups are also advised to go to the washroom at the lobby before entering the gallery as there is only one toilet inside.

Membership

Yes, we have three membership packages available: Individual, Family and Corporate.

Getting here

Yes, there is a carpark available at the Museum (NUS Carpark 3A). More parking facilities are also available at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (NUS Carpark 3) and NUS Raffles Hall (NUS Carpark 4).

Parking at the above mentioned carparks are free only on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Gallery

  • No food and drinks are allowed inside the gallery.
  • Flash photography and the use of selfie sticks are prohibited.
  • Visitors are required to have their tickets with them for both entry and exit.

Yes, there is one handicapped toilet on Level 1M of our gallery.

There are a few seating areas located in various parts of the gallery.

The gallery is divided into two levels:

  1. The Biodiversity Gallery (located at Level 1) houses fifteen thematic zones, each showcasing specimens from the Museum’s collection. The star attractions on this level are the three sauropod fossils at the Dinosaur Zone, and the Singapore Whale (Jubilee) at the Mammal Zone.
  2. The Heritage Gallery (located at Level 1M, the upper first floor) includes five exhibit zones that present an account of the Museum’s development. They also trace the relationship between Singapore’s development and natural heritage, all bearing rich historical and heritage values of the country.

Others

Yes, there is space provided for you to park your strollers and luggages outside the gallery. Kindly approach our staff at the ticketing counter for assistance.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available for use. Kindly approach our staff at the ticketing counter for assistance.

Yes, the nursing room is located in the lobby near the washrooms. Please approach staff at the ticketing counter for assistance.
