Marketing and Communications Intern (Part-time)

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern who is passionate about nature and keen on educating and increasing public interest in Singapore’s biodiversity and natural history. He/she will assist in thinking of ways to attract visitors to Singapore’s only natural history museum and in maintaining the Museum’s online presence in Singapore and the region. In particular, the candidate’s main role will be to assist the Marketing and Communications team with content creation for the Museum’s 10th Anniversary in 2025, as well as social media publicity and writing blogposts as needed. He/she will also assist the team with any other duties as assigned.  

 

Internship Period 

December 2024 – May 2025 (Part-time) 

 

Qualifications 

Diploma / Undergraduate / Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree 

 

Minimum Requirements  

  • Candidate must possess a strong command of the English language and is proficient in writing;  
  • Must possess good design skills with experience in Procreate, Canva and Adobe suite (Photoshop and Illustrator);  
  • Must be keen to brainstorm new and creative ideas for collaterals and content creation;  
  • Display a keen interest in natural history, zoology, science communication and digital marketing;  
  • Possess good photography and photo-editing skills;  
  • Possess good organisational skills and is detail-oriented;  
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;  
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team;  
  • Open to working in both indoors and outdoors;  
  • Responsible for his/her own learning process and development.  

 

Bonus  

  • Candidate is studying/has studied Communications, Environmental Science, Life Sciences, or Geography;  
  • Prior experience in social media management, science communication, publicity and/or copywriting is an advantage.
