Programmes for Corporate Groups

POSTED ON BY museum_admin

The outreach and education team at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum conducts programmes not just for school groups, but also for public and corporate groups.

Earlier this year, we explored the mangroves at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve with the folks from the General Insurance Association (GIA). The group consisted of the very young and the not so young, but everybody enjoyed immersing themselves in nature and learning about our local flora and fauna just the same. Some lucky participants even managed to spot a crocodile!

We also organized a special trip for the attendees of the International Congress on Marine Corrosion and Fouling (ICMCF) conference held here in Singapore. We brought our friends from foreign lands to Pulau Ubin, where they got to see, smell and even taste some of our herbs and ‘exotic’ fruits. Away from the hustle and bustle that Singapore is often associated with, they got to experience what much of Singapore was like in the 1970s, the laid-back tranquility of kampong life, and our tropical mangrove and secondary forest.

Even as we prepare for the new museum’s opening, our programmes are still ongoing. So come explore nature with us!
