Description

This is a small and primitive family, with only four genera and about a dozen described species worldwide. In Asia, only the genus Devadatta occurs. These damselflies are characterised by a moderately robust body and paddle-shaped wings, with a distinct stalk. In Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, there is just one species.
